Founder
Luciano Emilio started his professional soccer career at the age of 16, playing for top-tier clubs in Europe, Central America, Mexico, and the U.S. over the course of his career. He is known as a prolific goal scorer and was selected as MLS’ Soccer MVP, and MLS’ Newcomer of the Year and Golden Boot winner (scoring 20 goals in his first season with club) while playing for DC United from 2007-2010.
Club Administrator
In the role of club administrator, Monica supports player/family registration in GotSport and our SportsConnect platforms. GotSport is the system the club uses to register all its travel players with the Maryland State Youth Soccer Association (MSYSA) so that they can be carded to play in league and tournament games. Monica also supports players and teams by communicating team and club information, and shares information regarding team placement, scheduling, uniform ordering, and any other tasks as needed. Monica is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese and is here to serve the Luciano Emilio Soccer Club families and players.
Team Manager and Tournament Support Volunteer
In the role of Team Manager and tournament support, Jonathan helps to provide all information, training, and ongoing support to the Club’s Team managers. One of his primary roles is to support team managers in completing the necessary training in Gotsport to fulfill their role as team manager, monitor the Club’s GotSport registrations, and support the Club with league scheduling and tournament registrations.
